Enabling Social Enterprise: the 2024 Annual Report

2024 was a highly fulfilling year for Fourfold as we accelerated our impact investing activities. In our Annual Report, we showcase our role as an enabler of social enterprises and illustrate how our grant funding allows our partners to play diverse but highly complementary roles -  as venture builders, accelerators and impact investors.

On the cover, we feature the Guavay team with an avocado grower from Mbeya, Tanzania. Guavay provides locally-made organic fertilizer to support smallholders to increase yields without compromising soil health. Our partners elea and iGravity (with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation) are co-invested in Guavay.

• Andreas Kirchschläger, Founding Partner and CEO of elea Foundation, speaks about the “extensive basis of trust” that allows elea to have a partnership at eye-level with its entrepreneurs.
• Andrea Inglin, Head of Employment and Income at the Embassy of Switzerland in Tanzania, discusses learnings from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation’s impact-linked finance facility managed by iGravity, and our blended finance collaboration.
• Elfid Torres, Co-Founder and CEO of Fundamental, highlights their venture studio model and the grand task of building the next generation of start-ups for Latin America.
• Philipp Staudacher, Head of Portfolio at Innovate 4 Nature, shares about their ambition to mobilize funds for the best nature-positive solutions and the process of screening over 400 applicants from around the world.
